Important Notes

Users of our stab-proof products must adhere to the following guidelines. Failure to do so may result in loss or injury, for which we cannot be held responsible.

  1. Product Standards and Limitations

ArmorLite’s flexible stab-resistant safety products meet GJ2019, VPAM, and NIJ standards, offering protection against stabbing, slashing, and cutting without causing fatal injuries. Our products effectively resist attacks from conventional knives, such as fruit knives, utility knives, scissors, kitchen knives, axes, and common military spikes. However, no protective gear can guarantee absolute safety against all forms of attack. We do not claim definitive and absolute stab resistance under any circumstances. Resistance levels depend on the energy levels involved; higher energy levels require higher protection. Under incorrect applications or scenarios, or when subjected to energy levels exceeding 24 joules, our products may experience partial or complete failure in effectiveness.

  2. Protection Mechanism

The protective functionality of ArmorLite stab-proof clothing derives from the anti-sharp object thrust inner core layer integrated within the garment, not from the outer layer or inner lining textile fabrics. The flexible stab-resistant inner core layer is removable; the outer and inner fabrics consist solely of conventional textile materials (polyester, nylon, cotton, etc.) and are not stab-proof.

  3. Intended Use

ArmorLite’s flexible stab-proof safety products are intended solely for self-defense, personal protection, and hobby-related use. They are not designed for military or other activities prohibited by law enforcement agencies. It is strictly forbidden to use our products for illegal or criminal activities.

  4. Pre-Use Testing

ArmorLite flexible stab-resistant clothing comes with a test sample of stab-resistant material. We recommend attaching the test sample to a stable wall and performing horizontal tests with handheld blades (utility knives, kitchen knives, scissors, etc.) before actual use. Only after the user tests and personally evaluates the protection level matching their specific application scenario should the product be used. The product is for personal use only and must not be lent to others without clearly informing them of the protective energy level.

  5. Testing Guidelines

ArmorLite stab-resistant products are engineered to protect the wearer against knife attacks encountered in typical real-world scenarios — that is, when the wearer is standing upright and the assailant strikes toward the body from the front, side, or back. The protective material is designed to resist blades traveling toward the torso in a generally horizontal direction, which represents the most common angle of attack in everyday self-defense situations.

When testing the stab-resistant sample, please observe the following guidelines to ensure accurate and meaningful results:

    • Simulate a realistic attack angle. Securely mount the test sample vertically against a stable surface (such as a wall) and strike it horizontally, replicating the angle at which a standing wearer would be attacked. Do not lay the sample flat on a table and strike straight down at a 90-degree angle. This scenario would correspond to the wearer lying on the ground while being stabbed from directly above — a situation that falls outside the intended protective scope of our products.

    • Use a soft, thick backing material. Always place a thick, soft backing material (such as layered foam or modeling clay) behind the test sample during testing. This setup not only reflects the real-world function of the armor — protecting the human body positioned behind the plate — but also aligns with the official testing protocols established by recognized standards such as the NIJ (National Institute of Justice) and the UK Home Office stab-resistance standards.

    • Understand acceptable penetration limits. According to these relevant standards, a maximum blade penetration of 7 mm through the armor is officially permitted and is not considered a failure. Any penetration of less than 7 mm should therefore be regarded as a successful result, consistent with internationally recognized stab-resistance benchmarks.

    • Do not strike the same spot more than once. Each impact point should be tested only once. Repeated strikes on the same location will compromise the structural integrity of the material at that point and do not reflect realistic attack conditions or official testing methodology.

Please remember that knives and other sharp objects are inherently dangerous. Always exercise extreme caution when conducting any form of stab-resistance testing, and ensure that the testing environment is safe and controlled.

  6. Proper Fit and Coverage

The protective area varies greatly according to body shape; choosing the right size based on height and weight is crucial for effective protection.

  7. Correct Installation

The stab-resistant inner core layer is divided into “STRIKE SIDE” and “BODYSIDE.” Special attention must be paid to the removal and subsequent re-installation of the stab-resistant inner core layer. Incorrect installation will lead to a loss of protective effectiveness.

  8. Garment Assembly

The ArmorLite flexible stab-resistant wear’s front and side protection functionality depend on the overlapping of the left and right, the front and back stab-resistant inner core layers. Incorrect overlapping methods may lead to zero protection effectiveness. Please make sure that you are wearing the clothes correctly and that the protective core material is correctly overlapping and covering your body.

  9. Additional Protection

For the additional protection of the arms, neck, etc., from our flexible stab-resistant clothing, please check availability with us or our authorized dealers before making purchases or putting our products against strikes under these circumstances. Only after confirmation can it be used in the intended scenarios.

  10. Bulletproof Disclaimer

The ArmorLite flexible stab-proof wear is not bulletproof and is strictly prohibited from being used in any bulletproof testing or scenarios.
