Yes. All ArmorLite stab proof vests are independently tested and certified to meet KR1/SP1 stab resistance standards in accordance with the Home Office CAST guidelines. Our products also meet EN388:2016 standards for blade cut resistance.

What protection standards does ArmorLite body armour meet?

ArmorLite vests meet KR1/SP1 standards at levels up to 24 joules of force for stab protection, tested in accordance with UK Home Office CAST specifications. Our FlexGuard material also meets EN388:2016 Level 5 blade cut resistance, the highest rating available.

Is body armour legal in the UK?

Yes, stab proof body armour is legal to buy and wear in the UK for civilians. There are no restrictions on purchasing or owning stab proof vests. However, body armour is classified as an offensive weapon only if worn while committing a crime. We always recommend understanding your local regulations.

Yes. ArmorLite offers covert body armour specifically designed to be worn discreetly under clothing. Products like the FlexGuard Undershirt and Covert Vest are slim-profile designs that remain undetectable under a shirt or jacket while providing full KR1/SP1 certified protection.

How heavy is a stab proof vest?

ArmorLite stab proof vests are engineered to be lightweight. Our FlexGuard vests weigh approximately 1.5-2.5 kg depending on the size and coverage level, while our SoftGuard vests weigh approximately 2.0-3.0 kg. Both are designed for all-day wear comfort.
